10 ways to wake up beautiful

1. Get an Early Start
Make a habit of washing your face a few hours before bed. If you wait until you're tired, you're more likely to blow it off -- allowing "toxins and dirt to stay on there all night," says dermatologist Laurie Polis of N.Y.C. Another consequence? You miss the best time to treat your skin. "At night there's more blood flow to the skin's surface, and there's nothing else on your face to interfere with absorption," Polis says.

Try:

Neutrogena Relaxing Nightly Cleanser

2. Sleep on Your Back
Note to Audrey Hepburn fans: Lying on your stomach is bad for "beauty sleep." The average head weighs 7 to 8 pounds -- a lot of pressure to be putting on your face every night. In fact, many dermatologists say they can tell what side of the face people sleep on by the number of wrinkles there.

3. Get a Lift
Sleep with your head elevated on two pillows, or put the headrest area of your bed on 2- to 4-inch pieces of wood. Gravity helps lymph and blood flow so fluid won't accumulate, Polis says.

4. Save Money, Not Wrinkles
At night you don't need to worry about eye treatments smearing your makeup, so slather on the richest formula you can. Polis swears by Aquaphor: "It conditions lashes and hydrates the delicate eye skin really well."

Try:

Aquaphor Healing Ointment

5. Sneak a Glow
Mix a drop of self-tanner into your night cream or use a cream that contains a bit of tan-producing DHA.

Try:

Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream

6. Avoid Carb Face
To wake with defined cheekbones, eat a high-protein, low-sugar dinner (try salmon and asparagus, a natural diuretic). Skip the rice, pasta and potatoes. "When our diet's high in glycemic carbohydrates, our features take on a soft, doughy appearance," says Connecticut dermatologist Nicholas Perricone.

7. Wrap It Up
To minimize A.M. frizz, sleep on a satin pillowcase or put your hair in a silk scarf. "Those fabrics are much softer than cotton, so there's less friction," says Harry Josh, a John Frieda stylist.

8. Find Your Inner Ballerina
Pile hair into a twist on the top of your head (use a scrunchie to avoid crimping). "In the morning you'll have major volume and beautiful waves," Josh says.

9. Turn on the Hair Conditioning
Sleep with a moisturizing treatment in damp hair overnight. We like Philip B. Katira Hair Masque, but any rich conditioner will do. Rinse in the morning.

Neutrogena Deep Recovery Hair Mask

[My most fav. hair product in the world]

10. Pop a Rooster Pill
Trust us, we were skeptical. But after swallowing two Wake Up on Time pills at 11 P.M., we found it much easier to get out of bed seven hours later. Created by a sleep-deprived single mother, the pills contain an energizing blend of thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamins B6 and B12 and guarana-seed extract. It's formulated with a coating that releases ingredients into your bloodstream toward the end of your last sleep cycle, so you wake up feeling clear-headed, not fuzzy.

A little beauty for ya...

It's been a while since I did a beauty post, here are some of my favorites that I do religiously!

Egg White Mask

'Add an egg white to your regular shampoo for a thick and glossy hair treatment. For an inexpensive facial mask beat a few egg whites until they get foamy. Then spread them over your face and let them dry. Wash off the egg white mask with cool water to reveal tighter pores and firmer, refreshed skin. Don't apply an egg white mask any more than once per week, or the skin will get used to egg white and have less effect each time. In many Asia countries, women use egg whites to whiten their faces and keep them youthful looking. After each egg white facial if you have egg white left over, it can be stored in a clean container in the refrigerator for up to one week.'

I'm faithful to my pink lipstick so before a night out I always try to do a lip scrub to make them smooth for the lip color.

Home-Made lip scrub:
1. Mix a small amount of coarse sugar with a few drops of water.
2. Apply the mixture onto lips and gently rub it in. Wash with lukewarm water and apply olive oil or vaseline to moisturize them.

Honey/Olive oil hair treatment:

I put all my girls' on this hair treatment. This is for the restoring moisture and shine, also stressed and dry hair.

2 teaspoons of Honey
3 teaspoons of Olive Oil

I'd say to apply it to dry hair, soak your hair with the mixture then leave your hair wrapped for 45 mins. When washing your hair I suggest a deep conditioning treatment. [this can be used for african-american hair, btw]

....Men & their bullshit.

So, today as I'm getting my hair colored the guy who was coloring my hair saw me slip my cousin my bag then says 'Why ya'll girls be carrying them big ass bags?'. For anyone who knows me I love big bags, the bigger the better. Men just don't understand. We need lots' of shit while we're out hand lotion/make-up/books/etc. Hell, we even could carry their shit in our bags too.

Then, this lovely G came up to me as I sat in the dryer and said 'I cannot be a girl, all this nail and hair shit..no I can't do it. I'm happy I'm a guy.' I told him being a girl was the best shit ever. I enjoy getting manis/pedis...getting my eyebrows done etc. It's a lot of work...but in the end it's all worth it. Fuck, you'd be a bad bitch after all of that. Not saying he can't have an opinion but men need to respect women...we do all this shit mainly for them.

and in the end....

JOKES ON HIM,
because he's in beauty school.

The end.

MUST GETS!

So after excessively dying my hair TOO many times my hair has been the same LENGTH for God knows how long. Which made me purchase clip-on weaves..I bought these on my birthday [April 8th] from the GNC storefor $19.99. It's been working miracles on my hair, I can actually tell. But for my nails..I'm not so sure cuz' I have fake nails on -_- But go buy this asap, especially if you're not happy with your hairs length!

CLIP-ONS!

I love these clip-ons I bought from Brybelly Holdings Inc. They have great customer service too.

You can do almost ANYTHING with these clip-ons. Whether using them for thickness...or just for length. You can curl, krimp, or straighten the clip-ons without damaging them. Put hairspray/gel/ any hair products. You have to be sure to take good care of them..handwash/condition the tracks...and also combing the weave is a must.

Don't say I never put you on ;)

CONCEALER

The BEST concealer ever. I do put on make-up on almost everywhere I go but when I'm in a rush I just put some concealer on. If you didn't know concealer hides bags, pimples, blackheads, + ETC. I love this product because it's available in any drugstore...they retail for $11.99, it's WORTH the price. Mineral make-up is in nowadays and it's healthy for your skin.

Lay off the cake-faces ladies.

LIQUID EYE-LINER

Liquid eye-liner is always a MUST and this is my favorite. Cheap and a drugstore product. A little thin line usually does it for me. Retails for about $8.

MASCARA

Hands down best mascara on the drugstore market. They make my eyelashes look like they're on crack! Retails for about $7.99.

FAKE EYELASHES

Enough said. I fucks with these almost on the daily. They're cheap..and they last for about 2 weeks.

Go make yourselves beautiful...

Camtien
